Student life at 3iL

Much more than just a campus : a community to experience

Why is community life so important at 3iL ?

Learning in a different way is an integral part of the 3iL experience. It enables you to develop skills that complement your engineering studies: working in a team, taking the initiative, managing a project, organising an event, or simply getting to know yourself better.

You will meet students from all promotions, forge lasting friendships, and quickly find your place.

Organisation, communication, project management, leadership : these are all pratical experiences that enrich your journey, far beyond classes.

Sport, music, dance, charity or cultural events: you can pursue your passions or discover new ones.

Incorporation week-ends, galas, parties, charity events : these are all moments that shape student life, not just a course of study.

Clubs and Organizations
at 3iL

There’s bound to be a club made for you. Whether you want to take part in an activity, discover a new passion, or start your own project, 3iL’s club life has something for everyone.

Play together, share your passion, perform on stage, or simply get together to enjoy music: the club welcomes members of all skill levels in a friendly atmosphere.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, you’ll discover different styles, improve your skills, and take part in the events that mark the year. The members’ dedication also leads them to perform outside of school at various events around town.

The Theater Club is an opportunity to develop your creativity, self-confidence, and public speaking skills. Whether it’s improvisation, directing, or performing, you’ll find your place—both on stage and behind the scenes.

The Virtual Reality Club brings together students who are curious about immersive technologies. Discovering new experiences, testing applications, and working on collaborative projects: a space to explore the uses of VR and imagine what the future holds.

Design, program, test, and tackle technical challenges: The Robotics Club lets you put the skills you’ve learned in class into practice while working on real-world projects as part of a team.

The Video Game Club is a place where people can come together to share a common passion. Tournaments, introductions to new games, gaming nights, and discussions about the world of video games are the highlights of club life, all in a friendly atmosphere.

A long-standing partner in student life in the Limousin region, the LEA Federation (Les Étudiants Associatifs du Limousin) has brought together student organizations at the University of Limoges since 2007 and advocates for student well-being throughout the region. It assists the associations, supports their projects, and works to promote student well-being far beyond the 3iL campus alone.

Yes, and it’s actually the best time to get started. As soon as you arrive, you’ll discover the various organizations and clubs on campus, and the first events of the year are designed to help you meet new people. After that, everyone moves forward at their own pace.

Not at all. 3iL’s student organizations welcome both students who are new to student life and those who are already involved. The desire to participate matters much more than prior experience: you’ll learn alongside other members and gradually take on more responsibilities.

Yes. Campus life evolves thanks to students’ ideas. If you’d like to start a new club or develop a project that’s important to you—whether it’s cultural, athletic, technological, community-oriented, or entrepreneurial—you’ll receive support in getting it off the ground.

It adapts to your schedule. Some students participate in events on an occasional basis, while others choose to get involved year-round in a student organization or club. At 3iL, Thursday afternoons are generally set aside for this, so you can take part in the activities of these clubs and organizations without interfering with your classes.

Getting involved in a student organization allows you to develop skills that complement your education: organizing an event, managing a budget, working as part of a team, communicating, and leading a project. It’s also a great opportunity to build confidence and create memories that will define your college years.

Yes. Student organizations set the pace for the academic year with numerous highlights: orientation weekends, student parties, galas, community service initiatives, sporting events, cultural activities, and club projects. These events help build connections among students from all class years.

Of course. Student organizations are open to everyone and are often the best way to meet new people and experience campus life. Initiatives like DANS TA’VILLE also support international students in their efforts to integrate as soon as they arrive in France.

Because at 3iL, we firmly believe that a school is about more than just classes. The experiences you have outside the classroom play a vital role in your personal development: building confidence, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and participating in group projects that will remain among your fondest memories of your time as a student. It is this well-rounded experience that we want to offer you.
