Why choose the AI and Cybersecurity course?

Are you wondering whether it’s really possible to specialise in cybersecurity straight after A-levels, without having had any prior exposure to computer science? What if, on top of that, you could learn to master artificial intelligence rather than simply being at its mercy? The answer to both questions is yes, and that is precisely the aim of this program.

The AI and Cybersecurity Program is open to students who have completed their A-levels. Over two years, it combines the fundamentals of computer science (algorithms, AI-assisted programming, systems administration, networks and databases) with supervised practical work in artificial intelligence. You will learn how large language models (LLMs) and AI agents work, how to query them systematically, how to integrate them into a tool or process, and how to verify their results.

This program then leads into the third year of one of the school’s two three-year degree programs : Administrateur Systèmes, Réseaux et Cybersécurité (RNCP 39611) or Concepteur Développeur Web Full Stack (RNCP 39608).

  • Years 1 and 2 (AI and Cybersecurity pathways): the first year is undertaken as a full-time student; the second year is undertaken as a work-study programme, or as a full-time student with a work placement of at least six weeks.
  • Year 3 (Administrateur Systèmes, Réseaux et Cybersécurité specialisation) : You are validating the RNCP qualification 39611, level 6, registered with the RNCP on 1 October 2024 for a period of five years.

By the end of the program, you will be able to:

  • Have a good grasp of the fundamentals of systems, networks and the web;
  • Create your own AI assistant by mastering LLMs and agents;
  • Use AI appropriately and responsibly within organisations;
  • Protect systems by following best practice in cybersecurity;
  • Lead AI-enhanced cybersecurity projects: threat detection, incident analysis, automated monitoring, and infrastructure defence.

Put simply: you won’t just graduate with theoretical knowledge of cybersecurity, but with the practical ability to secure an information system in the age of artificial intelligence, whilst never losing your critical thinking when it comes to the technology.
