3iL Ingénieurs held its e-Health 2026 Conference at the Limoges and Haute-Vienne Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This conference was organised as part of the e-Health Chair and with the support of ballas invest and the Cinerg’e-santé Campus. This major event brought together researchers, industry representatives, healthcare professionals and future engineers around a shared ambition: to build a more humane and technologically advanced healthcare system.

A glimpse into the future of medicine

The day began with a focus on the regional e-Health strategy in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The aim is clear: to continue to establish Limoges as the hub of this ecosystem. Dr Nicolas Pécuchet then offered the first technological perspective on the future of healthcare. Indeed, his presentation on virtual twins highlighted this trend: personalised medicine, where a digital twin enables treatments to be simulated even before they are administered.

Sovereignty and workshops: from theory to practice

The issue of data sovereignty was the central theme of the morning’s discussions. And it was during a round-table discussion bringing together Limoges University Hospital, the University, ESEA and the Gérontopôle that the experts shared their views on safeguarding and making the most of our clinical heritage.

The afternoon gave way to practical action with themed workshops:

  • Virtual reality (XR-VR) for new therapeutic applications.
  • Cybersecurity in healthcare: a vital issue for the continuity of care.
  • Digital medical devices: understanding the journey from concept to product.
  • The creation of Health Data Warehouses (HDWs): the cornerstone of future research.

Accelerating innovation: the power of collaboration

The conference concluded on a decidedly entrepreneurial note. Start-ups such as Insilibio and Panace IA, supported by AVRUL and ballas invest, demonstrated our region’s commitment to being a genuine driving force behind clinical innovation.

The day then drew to a close with the presentation of the 2027 Roadmap. This serves as a true compass for the next stages of interdisciplinary healthcare in our region.

A huge thank you to our community
