Our chairs and sponsorships
What if your courses were designed in collaboration with the companies that will be recruiting you?
Choosing an engineering school means choosing an environment in which you can build a lasting future for yourself. At 3iL Ingénieurs, this is based on a simple belief: an engineer is not defined only by their technical skills, but by the way in which they apply, share and develop them.
Our educational approach is centred on three values: high standards, a supportive environment, and personal fulfilment.
Chairs: when a company invests directly in your training
A chair is a long-term partnership between 3iL Ingénieurs and a company, centred on a specific theme, with tangible benefits on offer: equipment, funding for student projects, guest lectures by experts, and sometimes scholarships.
The ‘Industry 4.0’ Chair, in partnership with Fugama Smart Machines — July 2025
Backed by the RobotLab, this chair provides you with the skills to understand and master the challenges facing the industry of the future. In particular, you will have access to a collaborative robotics facility for your practical work and projects as part of the second-year Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Embedded Systems program.
The ‘Autonomous Robotics and Intelligent Systems’ Chair, in partnership with Rob’Occ — July 2025
Launched on the same day as the Fugama Chair, also within RobotLab, this Chair enables you to explore the challenges of mobile robotics through ROC-E, the autonomous robotic trolley designed by Rob’Occ. You will thus explore autonomous navigation, traffic management, safety whilst moving in shared environments, and human-robot interaction.

The ‘Digital Ethics, Frugality and Inclusion’ Chair, in partnership with La Poste Group — May 2024
This chair aims to promote responsible, inclusive and sustainable digital technology. In practical terms, La Poste Group provides IT equipment for your practical work and to support students facing difficulties, and has facilitated the opening of new server rooms, including a data centre dedicated to students. The chair also fosters open innovation between lecturers, researchers, students and professionals, with La Poste Group participating in training modules.

La chaire e-santé, avec ballas invest — avril 2024
Launched in partnership with Laurent van Lerberghe, a digital health investor with Ballas Invest, this chair offers specialised training in digital health: artificial intelligence applied to healthcare, the management and protection of health data, and connected medical devices.
In practical terms, if you are interested in this field, the e-Health Chair can fund merit-based scholarships, support innovative student projects, and open up opportunities for work placements and work-study schemes with companies in the Ballas Invest network. It also organises an annual e-Health Symposium, in collaboration with the Cinerg’e-Santé campus.
La chaire Design UX/UI, avec iMSA — septembre 2022
This chair covers the entire 3iL Group (Rodez and Limoges). The iMSA UX/UI Studio works directly with you during your first year of the Master’s programme to introduce you to the principles, methods and tools of UX/UI design for a website or app.
Year group mentoring: support that lasts throughout your studies
Each class at 3iL Ingénieurs is sponsored by a leading digital company. This is not just a launch ceremony: this sponsorship enables you to benefit from advice and support – which may even lead to recruitment – throughout your studies.
A technology consultancy firm is the patron of the Class of 2026. For 3iL Ingénieurs, this partnership represents an opportunity to align its teaching with the needs and developments of the labour market.

An industrial group specialising in electrical and digital building infrastructure has sponsored the Class of 2024. According to Bruno Debatisse, Head of Human Resources for France and a director at Legrand France, the company and 3iL Ingénieurs share a commitment to supporting young people in successfully completing their studies and achieving their career goals.

The Crédit Agricole Group’s technology division sponsored the Class of 2022.
A commitment that sometimes goes beyond a simple sponsorship
In February 2026, 3iL Ingénieurs signed an agreement with Thales to guarantee a secure work-study placement for every female student joining the engineering program at the Nantes campus, starting from the new academic year in September 2026. This initiative is designed to boost the number of women in digital professions and, if this applies to you, to enable you to look to the future with confidence in a sector still characterised by persistent gender imbalances.
What this actually means for you
Whether you are involved with a thematic chair or the sponsorship of your year group, these partnerships translate into very tangible benefits in your day-to-day life as a student: access to state-of-the-art facilities, project funding, potential scholarships, talks by experts, opportunities for work placements or work-study schemes, and sometimes personalised support that can even lead to recruitment.
